According to HT reports, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has stayed the promotions in Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, Dharamshala following a worker of the bank alleged violation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act.
It is worth mentioning that the bank management had begun the promotion process of several hundred people belonging to various categories with the nod from the election commission.
The High Court has ruled that no promotions could be executed without its permission. The petitioner is a Grade-2 employee and has been working in the bank since 1999.
