Business Standard reports a new agricultural policy ” comprehensive agro business policy 2016-21” announced by the Gujarat govt will fetch at least Rs. 10,000 crore worth investments in the sector in the next five years in the state.
A top Gujarat official sounded optimistic about the success of the new policy when he was addressing the Ahmedabad roadshow for CII Agro Tech 2016.
A source claims over the last three years Gujarat has been able to attract an investment of Rs. 3000 crore in the agricultural sector.
A corporate heavyweight in his remarks underlined the importance of corporate style operation of cooperative in agriculture. This will not only boost efficiency but also open immense possibilities of development in agriculture, he added.
