The Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCC) is setting a model by creating a consortium of select cooperative societies and raising funds for execution of infrastructural projects in the city, reports Hindu.
The ULCC has already been given the contract for reconstruction of as many as six important roads in the city under the City Road Improvement Project of the Kerala Road Fund Board.
The ULCC will raise Rs. 200 crore from as many as 32 small cooperative societies for the works, said public relations head of the Cooperative society.
The total expense of the project is estimated to be Rs. 241 crore, of which Rs. 200 crore will be raised from the small cooperative societies.
