The opposition Congress has urged the state governor not to allow an amendment bill on the Rajasthan cooperative societies Act 2001, as the BJP govt is hell bent on destroying the cooperative sector in the state, reports Business Standard.
The party has also called for early cooperative polls. The state Congress leaders’ delegation recently met the governor and submitted a memorandum.
Congress has warned that through the amendment, which is pending with the Governor for clearance, the state government would damage the spirit of cooperative movement by arbitrarily imposing administrators on cooperative banks.
