According to Tamil Nadu Handlooms and Textile Minister Tamil Nadu Handloom Weavers’ Co-operative Society popularly known as Co-optex, has recorded total sales of Rs 315 crore in 2016-17, reports Business Standard.
An official release says the society has registered Rs 2 crore as profit. The Minister was inaugurating in Vadaranyam a new showroom set up at a cost of Rs 30 lakh.
In the efforts to ramp up sales, the minister said new Co-optex outlets would be set up across the State. Established in 1935, Co-optex currently has 194 outlets across the country.
