Kerala chief minister has called upon cooperatives to play their role in the healthcare sector so that all sections of society could access necessary medical facilities, reports Hindu.
Chief Minister said this while addressing a function organized by a cooperative body in Kakkanad.
Pinarayi Vijayan also urged cooperative banks to build strong bonds with their members especially farmers so they did not fall in the hands of unscrupulous money lenders.
The chief minister wanted cooperative banks to grow into institutions that catered to all the credit requirements of poor people, especially farmers.
