Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh recently emphasized the benefits of the cooperative sector and said the state’s successful model of paddy purchase management can be much attributed to the cooperative committees , reports ANI.
The chief minister was speaking on the occasion of National level Cooperative Training and Meeting in Raipur. Singh said 10,800 crore worth of paddy is purchased by co-operatives in Chhattisgarh.
The CM also announced the setting up of micro-ATMs in co-operative committees and computerization of co-operative committees. Co-operative Minister Dayaldas Baghel warned co-operative committees against cases of irregularities in farmers’ loan funds.
