Cooperative bodies in Sundargarh district in Odisha have botched Direct Benefit Transfer in the distribution of seeds to farmers, reports New Indian Express.
About 15 blocks in the district are facing technical hurdles for transferring subsidy amount to 7,000 farmers.
District cooperative official said below 50,000 farmers were registered for DBT for seed of which, 24,000 farmers were supplied 15,000 quintals of seeds.
Meanwhile, district authorities have urged banks to operationalize Zero Balance accounts of farmers whose cases are disputed.
