Co-operators Throng Bharat Mandapam on D-Day

In addition to foreign delegates, co-operators from across the country gathered in large numbers at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, on Monday to participate in the Global Cooperative Conference.

While the leaders were seated in the front row, managing directors were accommodated in the second row. Prominent figures such as NCUI President Dileep Sanghani, ICA-AP President Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, and Dr. U. S. Awasthi, Managing Director of IFFCO, were seen in the front row facing the dais.

NCCF Chairman Vishal Singh was also seated in the same row, a position that appeared to relegate many long-standing cooperative stalwarts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ICA Global Cooperative Conference 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in the presence of a distinguished audience that included Bhutan’s Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica, and leaders of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA).

During his address, Modi proposed a visionary global financial platform aimed at supporting weaker cooperatives and helping them unlock their full potential, among other key initiatives.
