It seems cooperative sector and cooperators have special love for Congress president Rahul Gandhi. After Ahmadabad DCCB, another BJP cooperator Krishna Vadan Brahmbhatt has filed a defamation complaint against Rahul Gandhi.
The metropolitan court in Ahmedabad has issued summons to Congress president for allegedly calling BJP president Amit Shah a “murder accused” at a rally, reports Hindustan Times.
Rahul Gandhi will be expected to present himself t in court on July 9. Metropolitan magistrate issued a summons saying there was a prima facie case of criminal defamation against Gandhi under Indian Penal Code section 500.
It is worth mentioning that BJP president Shah had been acquitted by a CBI court in 2015 over his alleged involvement in the killing of Sohrabuddin Shaikh, his wife Kausar Bi, and Tulsiram Prajapati.
Earlier chairman Ahmedabad district cooperative bank of which Shah is one of the directors had also filed a defamation suit against Rahul and Congress spokesperson R. Surjewala for the allegation that the bank was involved in shady transactions after demonetization.
