It is a matter of pride for the entire cooperative sector that a hardly known multi-purpose co-op society is going to donate to PM’s Relief Fund. The case in point is Barkatpura Mudra Agriculture Skill Development Multi State Cooperative Society in Telangana.
its Chairman Thippineni Ramdas Appanaidu claimed that the society plans to donate Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister national relief fund, quotes Hans India. Indian Cooperative has also confirmed the news separately.
The cheque will soon be handed over to the Prime Minister, said the Chairman. The Chief Executive of National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) N Satyanarayana would be among those meeting the Prime Minister, claimed the Chairman who neither speaks English nor Hindi.
Later, NCUI’s CE Satyanarayana confirmed the news and said that the officials have the Mudra Agriculture Skill Development Multi State Cooperative Society had indeed visited him in his office on Tuesday.
“They are indeed doing good job and I would be happy to accompany them to the Prime Minister’s office”, he added.
Ramdas spoke highly of the Central government schemes such as PM Kisan Yojna and PM Shram Yogi Mandhan.
