According to a Press Trust of India report, anti-corruption officials have arrested an ex-field officer of Odisha state cooperative bank, Bhuvaneshwar on graft charges.
The former cooperative official has been arrested under different sections 13(2) and 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and sections 419/420/467/468/471/120-B of the IPC.
He is alleged to have cheated the bank by forging documents to the tune of Rs 45,25,000 as loans sanctioned to illegible persons.
The case is under investigation, sources say.
