According to the Indian Express reports, Sahakar Samvad, an online complaint platform dedicated to cooperative housing societies’ members in Maharashtra, put in place in October has already received more than hundreds of complaints of which quite a few have been resolved, official sources are quoted as claiming.
The majority of complaints have come from Mumbai.
Managed by the Maharashtra State Co-operative Housing Federation that represents over 1,25,000 housing societies and 30 million members, this platform charges a nominal fee of Rs 50 per complaint.
The platform caters to 24 common grievances, such as issues with share certificates, fund misappropriation, election failures, and general body meeting lapses.
