Bestowal of Padma Vibhushan Award is not stopping NCP Chief Sharad Pawar from criticizing the government. Making a trenchant criticism of the central govt on demonetization, he has said cooperative banks will approach the apex court once again on Monday on the issue of demonetization.
Speaking at Kolhapur he sounded sore that the RBI is not accepting old notes from cooperative banks despite the apex court’s express instruction in this regard, report news outlets.
“The cooperative banks are not getting cash to pay cane and milk bills. This delay has stopped all economic activities in the rural parts of country,” the NCP chief said.
“Customers in 31 cooperative banks have deposited Rs 8,660 core in the first five days after demonetization. But, the RBI has been delaying acceptance of that money. The money is insured. The banks are suffering losses,” he said.
Hon. Sharad Raojee,
Be transparent and weed out corruption from UCBs and Sugar and then see RBI will embrace warmly each and every indian Cooperative Bamk.
