Speaking before CEOs of rural district central cooperative banks in Odisha on Monday, Nabard chairman G.R.Chintala called for the strengthening of IT infrastructure of cooperative banks, reports PTI.
Chintala also called for enhancement of agriculture term loans and diversification of credit portfolio for co-op banks to make them relevant and sustainable in the long run. The Nabard chairman underlined the importance of increasing the share of cooperative banks in agricultural lending.
Besides, Chiintala opened a workshop-cum-strategy meeting in Bhubaneswar during the day and urged the people to help more rural entrepreneurs set up and upscale their businesses.
