Three criminals were arrested for allegedly robbing lakhs of rupees from Rajapur Mandi branch of district cooperative bank in Uttar Pradesh, Print says quoting PTI reports.
Police say on January 16, the accused broke into the cooperative bank with the help of gas cutters and decamped with cash.
According to the police, Rs 4.5 lakh, a country-made pistol and equipment used in cutting the bank locker have been seized from the arrested criminals. All the criminals involved in the heist have a long history of bank robbery.
