Postponement of the election to the board of directors of Bathinda Central Cooperative Bank in Punjab has led to accusation and counter-accusation between SAD and Congress leaders, reports Tribune News Service.
The joint registrar of the Cooperative Department had announced that various procedures of the elections were to be held between July 24 and July 29. With the political parties facing off, the prospects of the election being held recede into the background.
Congress leaders accused the SAD of creating a scene when the nomination procedure was about to begin. And, SAD leaders accused the bank staff of accepting the nomination papers of the Congress candidates without making entries in the records so as to help the Congress leaders have an advantage.
