The Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said recently his government would help the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) set up their own cooperative bank, in the interest of milk producers, reports The Hindu.
According to Bommai, the state govt. would give the initial capital of Rs 100 crore. The chief minister made this announcement while speaking in a function organized by the KMF.
Bommai added that his govt. would do its best to promote the development of the cooperative sector of the state. KMF’s annual turnover stands at Rs 17,000 crore.
