The Punjab government has launched UPI services in the Punjab State Cooperative Bank, enabling seamless online transactions, media reports say.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that UPI services have been introduced in 18 branches of the apex bank to promote digital transactions and improve transparency and accountability.
Customers can initially conduct transactions of up to Rs 50,000 daily, with plans to raise this limit to Rs 1 lakh soon.
Mann emphasized that this initiative is part of his commitment to strengthening the cooperative sector and streamlining the bank’s operations.
