The decision of the dairy farmers in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district to throw away 1,500 litres of milk down the drain daily has angered the local people, reports New Indian Express.
The farmers are protesting the district authorities’ decision to reduce hours for selling milk during the lockdown.
Several dairies in the area ‘have already dumped more than 4,500 litres of milk costing nearly Rs 2 lakh during the last 3-4 days.
However, the common people have not taken kindly to the dairies’ decision. The Cooperative Society with DoodhGanga’ as its name is doing good job in the town.
