Bihar State Cooperative Bank and Bihar State Milk Co-Operative Federation (COMFED) contributed Rs 2 crore and Rs 4 crore towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund last week respectively.
On behalf of the bank, the cheque was personally handed over by its Chairman Ramesh Chaubey to the State Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. On the occasion, State Registrar for Cooperative Societies Bandana Preyashi and others were present.
Whereas on behalf of COMFED, its Managing Director Shikha Srivastava gave a cheque to the State CM.
Soon after handing over the cheque, the Twitter handle of Cooperative Department, Bihar wrote, “Bihar State Co-operative Bank contributed Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund”.
Speaking on the occasion, Nitish appreciated the social initiatives of all the donor organizations. The CM also thanked the cooperative bodies for making generous contributions to the CMRF.
The CMRF was established in 1971 for helping people in distress. The fund is recognized as a Trust and the CM is the chairman of the fund.
