Media reports say Anti-corruption Bureau has booked the chairman of the J-K Co-operative Bank for allegedly giving a loan of Rs 223 crore to a non-existent co-operative society.
A preliminary investigation carried out by the ACB revealed the fraud.
ACB sources say the acts of omission and commission on the part of the chairman of J-K State Co-operative Bank constitute punishable offenses.
ACB is further investigating the matter.
