Constructing low-cost cow sheds, usage of rubber-based floor mats etc. dairy farming, etc are some of the highlights of the 3-day event of the 4th edition of Krishi Yantra Mela -2019 and Dream Home at the Vivekananda Engineering college campus from 23rd to 25th February 2019, said Campco President SR Satishchandra.
Those present in the press conference included S.R.Satishchandra, President CAMPCO, Suresh Bhandary, MD, Dr. K. M. Krishna Bhat, Secretary, Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur, among others.
The event will host seminars on various topics such as Backyard Farming , Value addition in farming, Farming as a profession, Profitability in Dairy farming and Low-cost housing’, said the officials.
In association with Puttur Association of Civil Engineers (PACE), the event DREAM HOME is also organized along with Krishi Yantra Mela. Latest equipments, raw materials and designs used in constructing low-cost houses will be showcased at the mela.
In order to create interest among students towards farming, the machines and equipment developed by the high school and college students will be displayed at the mela. The best innovative projects by the students will be awarded during the event.
