Campco President Satish Chandra has said the multi-state cooperative would vary its range of products and diversify into marketing of pepper, reports Times of India.
Talking to reporters the president said the cooperative has conducted a survey of potential markets and is in the process of developing necessary infrastructure for this spice. The cooperative would primarily enlarge its operation in North India, he said.
The CAMPCO managing director said the cooperative would aim at garnering a total business turnover of Rs 200 crore from the pepper business.
A source is quoted as saying the union ministry of agriculture has already given the cooperative the necessary permission to expand its horizons into pepper business.
