The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved an increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for all mandated Rabi crops for the marketing season 2025-26.
The decision aims to ensure remunerative prices for farmers, with the highest increase of ?300 per quintal for rapeseed and mustard, followed by a Rs 275 per quintal rise for lentils (masur).
Other crops seeing an MSP hike include gram (Rs 210), wheat (Rs 150), safflower (Rs 140), and barley (Rs 130). The move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to support agricultural producers.
