The court has declared Jagdev Singh a former secretary of Butahari co-operative agriculture multipurpose society, Dehlon, Punjab for defrauding Rs 12.57 crore, reports Hindustan Times.
The accused has been booked under Section 409 (Criminal breach of trust by public servant) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section of Prevention of Corruption Act.
The allegation against him is that he had not made entries for fertilizers bought and distributed swindling Rs 12.57 crore. Police say the accused is absconding.
