The IFFCO team led by its Managing Director Dr US Awasthi was accorded a warm reception as soon as it reached the holy Budhist city of Gaya in Bihar- MD’s 69th Connect Campaign destination.
Addressing more than 2000 farmers, Awasthi said there is a need to strengthen the cooperative movement as it alone is capable of ameliorating the poverty of rural India. Extolling the virtues of IFFCO Bazar he asked farmers to make the most of it.
The various activities undertaken by IFFCO in the field of farm and agriculture were explained to farmers. Scores of IFFCO officials expounded at length on their activities.
Prem Chand Munshi, IFFCO Director from Bihar also addressed the gathering and lauded MD’s role in taking IFFCO
The gathering also saw the presence of some senior cooperators. Women participation was also considerable. IFFCO felicitated some of the senior cooperators on the occasion.
Cultural programmes aimed at encouraging local culture was also organized. Several youths who participated in the cultural show later had a group photograph with the IFFCO team.
