Hindu reports the investigation into the theft attempt at the People’s Cooperative Bank at Veppamudu junction in Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu is underway with police lifting the fingerprints of thieves from the scene of crime, police got a clue about them and they would be caught soon.
As a follow-up of the theft attempt, police has identified 138 cooperative banks and were asking the managements to commission CCTV on their premises.
Sources say the local police is worried about the lack of proper security arrangements in cooperative banks in Nagercoil.
