The IFFCO Board which met in Kalol after 43 years, decided to extend the tenure of HR Head and one of the Directors Rajendra Prasad Singh by one year. A man skilled at solving all legal problems confronting IFFCO , Singh is friendly and accessible, say his colleagues.
Placing the proposal before the Board IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi said “Singh belongs to the club of navratans of IFFCO and I request the Board to seek his services for another year”. The idea was accepted unanimously by the members.
Feeling humble after the board’s decision Singh said “I express my gratitude to the revered members and promise to continue to render my services to this great organization as I did in the past.”
Singh was part of the meeting but he had left at the nick of the time when the subject of his extension came up for discussion. Later, Directors vied with each other to congratulate him after the discussion was over and the MD called him in.
Singh is credited with introducing the latest HR practices in the organization and it is not surprising that IFFCO’s HR is rated as one of the best not only by cooperative standards but also by corporate standards.
