New Indian Express reports BJP, which is a considerable force in the cooperative sector in Belagavi district, in Karnataka stands united to win the elections to the Belagavi District Central Cooperative (DCC) Bank.
Several leading lights of the BJP associated with cooperative bodies have said they would do their best to get all the 16 directors elected unopposed.
The elections will take place on November 6. The election is crucial as BJP’s win will enable the party to gain control over scores of cooperative societies in the district. It bears recall that the party was a divided house in former days.
