BJP men in Mumbai DCCB exonerated

Maharashtra cooperative minister Subhash Deshmukh recently told the state Assembly that a vigilance squad which enquired into alleged financial irregularities in Mumbai District Cooperative Bank has exonerated BJP leaders who controlled the Mumbai bank, reports Asian Age.

The alleged financial irregularities involved loan distribution by the bank not observing the banking guidelines.

The cooperative minister added the vigilance squad has found some technical irregularities and two officers are suspended.

The scam had come to light after a complaint was filed with Nabard.

Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Surve had raised the issue in the assembly saying the bank is financially in a bad way and he wanted to know if the govt had taken action against the accused.
