Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the BJP government’s commitment to agricultural development, announcing the establishment of 8,000 new Farmers Producer Organisations (FPOs) nationwide.
Speaking at a rally in Karnataka’s Belagavi, he stressed the significance of organizing small farmers for sectoral growth. Modi underscored the BJP and NDA government’s focus on FPOs, self-help groups, and cooperatives to empower farmers.
He noted the formation of 8,000 FPOs under the BJP’s tenure, alongside the enrollment of over 10 crore women into self-help groups in the last decade.
This strategic emphasis aims to bolster grassroots agricultural communities and foster inclusive growth in the sector, PM added.
