Like in the previous year, Bihar Marketing Cooperative-Biscomaun has geared up to begin the sale of Kashmiri Apples before the Chhath Puja festival at a much lower rate compared to the market, through its sales counters spread across the state.
The announcement was made by Biscomaun Chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh through his Facebook wall. He wrote, “It is a great pleasure to inform you that this year also Biscomaun will provide the Kashmiri Apples in view of Chhath Puja”.
It bears recall that Nafed made Biscomaun its agency to sell Kashmiri apples in the state soon after the Central Government entrusted Nafed with the procurement assignment of apples from the troubled state- a challenging task co-op titan Nafed is carrying out with great success.
Earlier, Biscomaun hogged the media headlines for the first time when with the help of IFFCO it had reduced the rate of urea driving black marketeers out of business in Bihar.
