Blitz India Desk reports conversion of Rs 129 crores of the loan amount into NPA by the cooperative banks of Bihar has come to light.
It is said this has been done in violation of the prescribed rules. The banks that have indulged in this irregularity include Khagaria, Motihari, Begusarai and Vaishali DCCBs.
According to the RBI rule, only five percent of the total loan should have been NPA.
