The Bihar State Cooperative Federation and Bihar Land Development Bank are in news as the Nitish govt have made them the nodal bodies to make available land to MLAs and MLCs.
Recently, Bihar govt decided to entitle them to purchase residential plots of two kathas each at a rate fixed by the state government.
The required land, according to media reports, is in Ashiananagar area of Patna with Swablambi Grih Nirman Sahyog Samiti which is headed by state Parliamentary Affairs minister Shrawan Kumar and Bihar cooperative minister Rana Randhir BJP legislator Sachindra Kumar are its Secretary and treasurer respectively.
The former and present legislators having no house in Patna will be eligible for becoming members of the new legislators’ cooperative.
There is a virtual scramble among the former and present legislators to fill the membership forms.
