Bhargava talks of IFFCO’s Nano technology before global audience

During the Global Launch of World Cooperative Monitor (WCM) through a virtual platform on Wednesday, IFFCO General Manager (Cooperative Relations) Tarun Bhargava apprised the international participants of the IFFCO’s Nano technology which may be a game changer not only for Indian farmers but also for the world at large.

“Our honored Cooperative Guru, Dr. U. S. Awasthi, MD IFFCO, the idea of innovation, which he has instilled in us, resulted in creation of Nano Urea developed by IFFCO for the Farmers of the World. This will bring about a revolution in the way farmers use fertilisers to grow crops and provide food to millions. One Bottle of Nano Urea will replace one Bag of 45 Kg Urea”, he underlined.

Besides, he requested International Cooperative Entrepreneurship Think Tank (ICETT) members to consider a proposal to create a ‘Youth Entrepreneurship Fund’ to support innovation. Bhargava is the chairman of ICETT.

“I believe this is going to be a game changer and a forum to share and bring together the best practices and knowledge amongst the cooperatives across the globe. Through ICETT, we would like to make WCM a continuous vehicle to exchange & promote Cooperative Dynamics, Youth & Women Engagement and Cooperative Research through Technology based Applications”, he noted in the presence of ICA DG Bruno Roelants and others more than 200 participants present on the occasion.

Tarun added that we have seen in 2020 that the best practices, including Governance Policies, needed some serious thoughts to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic. This also includes the financial strength and engagement of members in Cooperatives. There is a constant need to embrace the change and dynamically evolve the best practices across regions and various sectors of Cooperatives, he stated.
