Palghar (Maharashtra) based leading bank- Bassein Catholic Cooperative Bank recently donated ventilator and BiPAP machines worth Rs 60 lakh to the two local hospitals.
The news was shared by one of the directors and former Vice-Chairman Yuri Gonsalves. “We are geared up to contribute to the possible third wave of Covid in October and November, which will hit the Children. We have made a provision of Rs 2 crore to fight with Covid-19, which was passed by the members in the Annual General Meeting”.
“If there is a need we will make 50 beds Covid Help Care Unit and 25 beds Pediatric Intensive Care Unit”, he informed on the phone.
Readers would recall that last year, the bank had contributed a sum of Rs 51 lakh towards the Chief Minister Relief fund.
