Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently said the state govt would make necessary financial help available to reactivate Baripada Urban Cooperative Bank, reports Update Odisha.
The chief minister made this announcement while visiting Mayurbhanj. It is worth mentioning that RBI had cancelled the license of the bank for its extremely poor financial background in 2014.
Being the urban co-op bank, Baripada Urban Cooperative Bank was active in helping the urban poor before its mismanagement led it to a sorry state. Patnaik wants the UCB to be active again.
