Given a growing demand for potato-based products across the world, Banas Dairy will establish a Rs 100-crore potato processing unit in North Gujarat to take on big players in the field, reports Indian Express.
The unit will produce 50,000 metric tonnes of potatoes including French fries annually. The unit will be set up in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat which is known for potato farming.
Banas Dairy that will establish the potato processing unit collects 70 lakh litres of milk daily and describes itself as “Asia’s biggest milk producer.”
