Shankar Chaudhary, chairman of Banas Dairy, recently revealed that the cooperative major would soon generate its own electricity and thus reduce its energy bill by 25 percent, reports Indian Express.
According to Chaudhary, Banas Dairy will set up a separate cooperative which will be responsible for electricity generation.
Chaudhary claims the initiative in the field of electricity production will be the first of its kind in the cooperative sector. The announcement was made during the just concluded AGM of the dairy cooperative.
