Chandrakant Dada Patil, Co-operation Minister, Govt of Maharashtra and Satish Marathe, Savrakshak, Sahakar Bharati visited Balwant Nagari Sahakari Patsanstha Maryadit, Jalgaon last week to participate in its Foundation Day function.
Both the leaders were facilitated on the occasion. It was Satish Marathe who had inaugurated this Credit Society fifteen years ago on 31st December, 2001 by operationalizing the Computer System.
The Credit Society is managed by a board of directors led by Madhukar Patil. Jaydeep Shah is the CEO.
Over the years the Society has grown from strength to strength and presently its deposits are Rs 14.18 crore,
advances stand at Rs 8.94 crore and investments at Rs 12.31 crore. It has recently shifted to spacious and well furnished premises. It has 2 branches and 1 extension counter.
Apart from extending financial assistance to self employed, small businesses, professionals and for purchase of vehicles and housing, the Credit Society extends personal loans as well.
1500 Mahila Self Help Groups are linked to the Credit Society and this has provided immense opportunities to the women for earning their income.
