Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel virtually inaugurated two branches of State Cooperative Bank at Kunkuri in Jashpur district and Lailunga in Raigarh district from his residence on Thursday.
On the occasion, Baghel said that every effort is being made by the state government to strengthen the cooperative sector in the state. With the opening of the two new branches of the bank, the banking activities can be expanded in rural areas.
He called upon the farmers to make maximum use of vermicompost, he said this would increase the fertility of the land, reduce the hardness of the land and improve the quality of crops.
The event was presided over by Apex Bank Chairman Baijnath Chandrakar. The state Cooperation Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Forest and Transport Minister Mohammad Akbar, and Higher Education Minister Umesh Patel were the guests of honor on the occasion.
