Reacting sharply to Ayodhya verdict on Ram temple, the President of the apex body of cooperatives (NCUI), Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav said that at least the business of doing politics in the name of religion has been shut down with this ruling.
Talking to Indian Cooperative on phone from Jhansi, Yadav was emphatic as he said that for the past three decades political parties have come to power on the heady mixture of religion and politics. With the coming of the Ayodhya decision their favourite agenda has disappeared. It is a matter of satisfaction for us, Chandra Pal added.
Analyzing the verdict, Chandra Pal said that whenever two brothers fight over an issue it is inevitable that only one of them could win. The point is that the other one should accept it with all the grace so that the constitutional arrangement of the country remains undisturbed.
The importance of Hindu or Muslim or for that matter- of temple or mosque is there till the country exists. And a country exists on the basis of its constitutional arrangement. Respecting the constitution is thus the most important aspect of a national life, Yadav underlined.
