IFFCO had showcased its various activities encapsulated in separate enclosures in the sprawling lawn of NCUI in Delhi and its MD Dr U S Awasthi walked from stall to stall as a cult figure along with the Chairman B S Nakia and a few Directors including Aditya Yadav.
Hundreds of cooperators followed them in tow. The 45th AGM saw unprecedented presence as people vied with one another to catch the MD’s attention. They would also jostle among themselves to get photographed with him. Awasthi would oblige each of them and ordered his official photographer every now and then to click them. It was quite a sight!
The people managing more than a dozen stalls waited for their turn when the MD would arrive. Awasthi would examine the products briefly and request staff members for a group photograph with himself.
Beginning at the stall of IFFCO-Tokio, Awasthi visited all the stalls including that of Soil Rejuvenation, Social media.
Social media stall depicted several tweets of the MD who has taken to social media in a big way drawing more than thousand followers in a short time. IFFCO has also supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call of Digital India by initiating several initiatives in this field.
As in the past year, IFFCO transferred dividend to member societies online through RTGS. When DGM Cooperative Relations Tarun Bharagava asked from the dais if anyone has received sms of RTGS, Pramod Kumar Singh, IFFCO Director from Dehradun was the first to say “yes it has come on my phone”.
