IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi who moved his Sahkarita Kisan Yatra to Nasik, his 30th destination paid tributes to the strong cooperative movement in the state of Maharashtra and called it worth emulating.
Inaugurating the cooperative seminar he said the cooperative movement in Maharashtra is the strongest and the
sector is continuously developing. “Today inaugurated cooperative seminar in Nashik. Cooperatives are developing in Maharashtra” Awasthi wrote on twitter.
Readers would recall in the co-operative profiling done recently by the NCUI it has been found that Maharashtra has the largest number of viable cooperatives in the country. The book was released on the occasion of ICA A-P’s Regional Assembly.
In Nasik IFFCO MD took time out for talking to farmers and explaining to them the idea of cashless transaction with the help of Aadhar Card. Awareness camps were organized on the occasion.
In his direct interaction with farmers he said there is scope for further expansion of the cooperative sector in Maharashtra. Awasthi didn’t forget to take selfie with farmers and tweeted “Today ”took Selfie with the farmers”.
At break of day, Awasthi had visited Traymbakeshwar temple and prayed for the IFFCO Family and farmers as was clear from his tweets.
