Batting against glamorous consumption, IFFCO MD Dr. U S Awasthi said that countrymen need to adopt the Indian way of life to be successful. Awasthi was speaking at a Seminar organized by a rural media outlet.
The IFFCO MD said farms and farmers are hot topics these days yet efforts to establish effective communication with them are a missing link. He narrated the tale of various IFFCO Kisan Goshtis being held across the country, which truly aims at reaching out to farmers.
Awasthi also mentioned the act of pulling off top rank by the IFFCO at the global level on this occasion. It bears recall that World Cooperative Monitor ranked IFFCO as No. 1 and Amul as No. 2.
He said that there was a need to change the way of thinking to make the country AtmaNirbhar (self-dependent). There should be a willingness to experiment with various models. “Not every model may be successful. But what matters is the way of thinking,” he said, hinting at his successful experiment with the Nano range of fertilizer which is being lapped up by farmers across states.
