PTI reports the Gujarat ACB has arrested the chairman of a cooperative society in Kheda district of the state for his involvement in the Rs 10 crore scam.
A source close to the Gujarat Gauseva and Gauchar Vikas Board said several others are also involved in the scam.
It is said a part of the funds was swindled by the chairman of Ashapura Majoor Kamdar Sahkari Mandli, a Kheda district-based cooperative society.
ACB sources say a case has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against S D Patel, the then Assistant Director of Gauseva Board”s Animal Husbandry unit, for clearing payments worth Rs 10.15 crore.
