The Vanasthalipuram police in Andhra Pradesh say they have taken into custody a branch manager of the Avani Multi-State Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society on cheating charges, reports Hindu.
A member of the society had made a complaint with the police saying the society was not returning him his fixed deposit of Rs. 5 lakh even after the deposit had matured.
Police say a cheating case has been registered.
