A warm sendoff was given to Prakash Kondurkar Chief Executive Officer of Apna Sahakari Bank (Multi State Scheduled Bank) on his retirement recently. Rajan Hombalkar is now the CEO of the bank who was earlier holding the post of GM in the Bank.
Kondurkar is credited with almost tripling the UCB’s business during his tenure. He had joined the bank as CEO in March 2003 when the bank had a business mix of less than Rs 700 crore and a network of 13 branches in Maharashtra.
Kondurkar must have noted with satisfaction that at the time of his retirement, the bank had a business mix of about 5,400 crore and a network of 85 branches in two states including Maharashtra and Goa. The bank experienced many changes during his tenure.
The retiring CEO had also played an important role in getting the bank a Multi-state tag. He also worked with Union bank of India.
