The State Cooperative Bank of Chattisgarh known as Apex Bank organized a farewell function for the retiring CGM of Nabard R M Kummur recently. Besides the Chairman and officials of Apex Bank, incumbent N P Mahapatra was also present on this occasion.
Emphasizing the umbilical relation of co-op banks with Nabard Chairman Ashok Bajaj highlighted the contribution of Kummur in strengthening cooperative societies.
“During his tenure the distribution of KCC cards achieved its target; Chhattisgarh is the only state which distributed more than 10 lakhs KCC to eligible farmers across state”, Bajaj stated.
Apex Bank officials hoped that with the new CGM Mr Patra the trend would continue. “We are sure to work for the Prime Minister’s vision of doubling farmers’ income “, said Bajaj on the occasion.
